I heart Ricky Gervais! I think he should host everything including SPCA fundraisers and wedding receptions.
However, last night I wondered how he could ever live up to the hype and anticipation for his second time hosting the Golden Globes and it pains me but … I don’t think he did. He’s funnier than almost anyone else on the planet. But his monologue was very “inside”. I got the jokes but not everyone would. He got some laughs but after you’ve hit someone in the face with a mackerel once they kind of know what to expect when you hit them with it again. Still, I’d watch him read a phone book.
