Why do the people who are the most vocal about what’s wrong with the broadcasting industry no longer work (or never have worked) in it? These are not fans who are passionate about what they like and don’t like. They’re armchair quarterbacks for radio executives. It bugs me when they discuss the industry from the outside as if everybody who’s actually inside is an absolute idiot.
What would those people who are opposed to paying firefighters well do if their house caught fire? Oh wait, that one is answerable. They’d wail and run away from their home while the firefighters ran toward it. That’s reason enough to me to pay them well. (There is a lot of discussion about that in the city of London right now.)
Where is our winter? I have never been a fan of the season, myself, even when I skated and skied semi-regularly. But if it’s going to be crappy enough to prevent us from riding our motorcycles there may as well be a few fluffy flakes falling. I know, be careful what I wish for!
Where does the time go? One of my brothers-in-law was absolutely convinced that we had only been married a year. It’s more than two now. He was so certain, that he thought WE were wrong about when we eloped! I had to laugh because time does get away. One day you blink and your friend’s toddler is driving a car. I remember my Grandma saying that life only gets faster as you get older and thinking, no way. Christmas took forever to arrive! But she was so right and that’s why we have to make the most of it every day. Even on the so-called “bad” days I try to remember that friends and family I’ve lost along the way would have loved one more “bad” day. And with that, I wish you a good day!
