Laughing With Gaffigan

If you’ve visited here before, you may already be aware that I’m a stand-up comedy nut.  Nut!  I have a long list of favourites that includes Jim Gaffigan who is coming to London in July and we have front-row seats for his Centennial Hall show. Gaffigan is the king of self-deprecation.

He had recurring roles on the TV series Ed, That 70’s Show and Welcome to New York and has made his name on the stand-up circuit.   He loves bacon and Hot Pockets and loves to talk about how lazy and pudgy he is and how much he loves to watch TV.

Gaffigan is taking a page out of the book of fellow comic Louis C-K and releasing a stand-up download on his website in a few days.  Louis broke download records by charging just a few bucks for his show.  Gaffigan is going to charge $5 and donate a dollar from each sale to American Veterans through the Bob Woodruff Foundation.  The show, called Mr. Universe, will be available April 11th.  If you have any interest in Gaffigan’s comedy, I hope you’ll download it too.  http://www.jimgaffigan.com/
