Our friend Jennifer Watts has the sweetest little dog named Miley.
Miley is a rescued Chihuahua from Cuba and she is adorable. Not only that, she has talent because she has just been cast as the lead dog in a stage production of Legally Blonde coming up at the Grand Theatre here in London. Here she is in her first promotional poster!
Every year, high school students from London stage a musical at the Grand and it’s always a top-notch show. The last time I attended, they performed Grease and it was electric. This year it’s the show based on the 2001 Reese Witherspoon movie about a stereotypical dumb blonde who goes to law school and, as they say, learned more than she bargained for!
Miley’s talents are a delightful discovery for Jenn who proudly tells me her little performing pooch endured the three-hour photo shoot with no diva behavior.
Miley will be starring alongside London’s other famous dog-actor, Igor Pugdog, a performing pug who has appeared in several calendars, live events and even has an upcoming movie role.
Do you tell a dog actor to break a leg? Whatever the custom is, I wish it to Miley and to Igor. I would tell you that London theatre is going to the dogs but that would be too predictable!
Maybe not break a leg, how about wag a tail!
