On the Dark Side at Tim’s

decaf

Finally, we got a chance to try the new Tim Hortons dark roast coffee that’s in the testing phase here in London. It’s wonderful if you like a bolder cup of brew.  It’s kind of like Starbucks’ Verona or Second Cup’s bolder blends. It’s delicious.

The regular java at Tim’s was starting to taste like cardboard to me.  At home, we always make a dark roast and anything milder just seems too weak. So this will actually put Tim’s back into my coffee shop rotation when it’s time to buy a cup somewhere in the great wilds of the city.  I predict it’s going to be a hit and will be rolled out nationwide soon!

  1. I hope you’re right and it is rolled out across Canada shortly and also made available for purchase for those of us who love their Tim’s home brew each day.

  2. Thanks for the review, Lisa! And I stole that joke about Decaf and posted it on our CHFI FB page – thanks! So that would make this a double-double. xo

  3. hahaha! The pic is brilliant! 😀

I love the flavour of a dark roast! It’s tastes bolder, even though there’s less caffeine. So, I’m not sure if I’ll end up drinking more to stay awake, or if the flavour will trick my mind into thinking I’m awake.
