A voice-work client in Charlotte, North Carolina who has become a pal sent me something a couple of weeks ago.
Eric Marks is the owner of Flight One Photography in Charlotte and I’m the voice of his answering service as well as a commercial. We hit it off in a professional/platonic manner and he’s been just wonderful about recommending me for future work. He even put this on his website.
As for the gift, I don’t know what it is because it hasn’t arrived yet. He has been tracking the package online and found that it went from NC to Florida before arriving in Canada. Curious. Now the tracks just keep saying “Canada” over and over.
Eric has been to Canada. He travels all over the world, so he knows that this is a vast land. In exasperation, he called the courier to see if he could get more information about where exactly in Canada this mystery gift might be and was so shocked at the lack of detail and plain ignorance on the other end of the phone that he pressed record and just let the person ramble on. We found it incredibly funny!!! I hope you will too.
No child left behind? Well, I can think of at least one.
Oh come ON, Lisa. You can’t give us a gem like that and not identify the courier!
