What a Bunch of Cards

Now that one of the nastiest and most impolite elections is finally over, I can share with you a few of the lower points of the campaign that you didn’t hear or read.

Prior to the election I praised the PCs for their media savvy approach. While that was true, they also flooded media inboxes with the most crap in the campaign. We heard from every major party more than once a day. The NDP constantly begged for donations. The Liberals kept trying to tout their accomplishments to deflect, deflect, deflect and Kathleen Wynne visited London several times but never allowed media to ask her questions. Photo ops only please, move along.

But the PCs take the ribbon for Most Annoying. The stuff they sent out never had a hope of attracting coverage.  The best/worst example was the Kathleen Wynne Bingo Card they emailed prior to the televised debate. I’ve linked to it below but first you need to read the prose that came along with it:

“We thought it was about time for a little fun and levity.  With that said, we’re breaking out our inaugural edition of Leaders Debate Bingo, featuring Kathleen Wynne!  Please open your attached Bingo Card and play along. It’s easy!! While a lot will be made of what Kathleen Wynne WILL say this evening, we’re betting there’s a whole lot she WON’T talk about. If we’re wrong and you hear her say any of the words/phrases on your Bingo card, mark it with and (sic) X!

Something tells us we won’t have a winner in Leaders Debate Bingo …… But hey, it’ll be fun just playing along.

KW DEBATE BINGO CARD FINAL

Tim Hudak will have a lot of time to contemplate the wisdom of his approach!

  1. I’m perplexed about the “Squats” square. I know what they are in the gym, but can you enlighten me as to what they are in terms of Wynning at BINGO? LOL Great post.

    1. It refers to a Liberal candidate’s Facebook post that showed two women from behind. One had a droopy, ugly butt and the other had a fabulous, perky one. Over the nice butt it said “squats” and the droopy butt was titled “no squats”! The PCs made an issue out of this FB post and another one by another candidate about the differences between men and women. Wynne took apologies from both men and moved on. Now you can Wynne!
