The song “Happy” by Pharrell doesn’t require an explanation. Its crazy popularity is because it’s infectious and optimistic.  Sometimes I play it at my desk at work after the show, with my headphones on, just for a lift.  Pharrell is the  musical guest on SNL next week and if he doesn’t perform this song people won’t be, you know.
