If you’ve never played the online game Candy Crush, you might only know it from the requests to play that clutter up social media. That, by the way, is a problem with your privacy settings on Facebook. If you’re getting anything you don’t want on your page, it’s your fault. You can prevent it. But people would rather complain. I love it for networking, for catching up on articles I may have missed that someone else thinks to tweet and for exercising the latent part of my psyche that would have loved to try my hand at comedy. Â To wit, I present some of my own, original favourite tweets of 2012 and then some of my favourites of people I follow and admire. Â …
You don’t have to be a Facebook user to appreciate this. Â Somehow, I was selected as one of the users who would test a new Scrabble board on Facebook. Â I didn’t ask for it. I didn’t even want it to change. Â But there it is, in all of its annoying glory. Â …

There are some real dinosaurs in the journalism game. Â I just can’t understand the way some of them cling to the “way things have always been done” and refuse to realize that the world is being shaped by young geeks and we’d better fall in line or get left behind. Â …
