You know someone is really hated when you don’t even have to say his name. He wants to control everyone and really thinks he can. Not only is Canada not for sale, it’s not interested in an out-of-country tyrant’s attempt to run us.
I’ve never been prouder of one of our Prime Ministers than I am of Mark Carney. He knows finances and economics, and the will of Canadians to stay autonomous.
Even though we’ve been buying Canadian, it’s more than that. It’s actively avoiding anything American. (Sorry, US friends! This is a war.) Lots of lists have been circulating showing Canadian companies and brands. The most comprehensive one I’ve seen is HERE. We will change brands if necessary. ANY brands. I thought I was committed to this endeavour before but since last weekend, I feel like a boxer with her dukes up.
You know that guy whose name I don’t even have to say? The same guy who never lets facts interfere with his opinions. The one who, offered a penny for his thoughts, would have to give change back. The human version of buffering. A few fries short of a Happy Meal. I wish him a humiliating defeat in the mid-term elections. He has just put Canada on the ballot and I believe we have more support than he thinks.

Since I don’t drink alcohol, I am reserving a bottle of sparkling water to toast his defeat in the mid-terms!!

We have two pre-pubescent children in a school yard taunting and trying to bully each other and to what end. The jerk down south and the one in our own province, sadly.
They’re undermining their own credibility and that of their office and world leaders are watching this and wondering what the hell is going on.
The US Supreme Court set the table in July 2024 when they ruled that the president can do basically anything without recourse.
I don’t want to defend Doug Ford because I think he’s a buffoon but at least now he’s on OUR side. He used to talk about Trump the way Trump talks about Kim Jong Un. We need everyone defending this country, verbally and economically. Ford may have the vocabulary and self-control of a toddler raised by wolves but he’s on the right side for a change.
You’re right. At least he is on our side. I also have a very difficult time defending Ford, and I am wondering how Carney feels about it. Ford’s words and the manner in which he is delivering those words, are so opposite of the way Mark Carney speaks.
I am happy he walked away from the table! There is no negotiating with a tyrant. If he thinks Canada is the only one going to suffer then he is sadly mistaken. Americans will suffer as well. Their prices will go up as well. I love the words in Rosie O’Donnell’s song to Donny “Please resign and make America great again!”

He’s already planning his 3RD term and occasionally mentions it during interviews. Legally he can’t, but if he’s named Vice-president and the President resigns he’s moved up. He previously mused about this.
He has indeed. History will not look kindly upon those who supported his insane agenda.
