You know someone is really hated when you don’t even have to say his name. He wants to control everyone and really thinks he can. Not only is Canada not for sale, it’s not interested in an out-of-country tyrant’s attempt to run us.
I’ve never been prouder of one of our Prime Ministers than I am of Mark Carney. He knows finances and economics, and the will of Canadians to stay autonomous.
Even though we’ve been buying Canadian, it’s more than that. It’s actively avoiding anything American. (Sorry, US friends! This is a war.) Lots of lists have been circulating showing Canadian companies and brands. The most comprehensive one I’ve seen is HERE. We will change brands if necessary. ANY brands. I thought I was committed to this endeavour before but since last weekend, I feel like a boxer with her dukes up.
You know that guy whose name I don’t even have to say? The same guy who never lets facts interfere with his opinions. The one who, offered a penny for his thoughts, would have to give change back. The human version of buffering. A few fries short of a Happy Meal. I wish him a humiliating defeat in the mid-term elections. He has just put Canada on the ballot and I believe we have more support than he thinks.
