Alec Baldwin Coming to London

Baldwin, complete with his bad attitude and evolving girth, is one of my favourite performers.  It has just been announced that he will be here in London in November to speak at a medical gathering on behalf of the Dana and Christopher Reeve Foundation which he has long supported.

I have learned from my Carl Edwards experience a few weekends ago. If you missed my humiliation at learning how humourless NASCAR is, you can read it here: http://lisabrandt.ca/wordpress/2012/06/18/if-only-they-knew-me/

I will not put out a jokey tweet that I plan to stalk or even be in the same postal code as Baldwin. I’m in media.  I don’t need to do these things.  They’re all just jokes, people!

However I have put in a request to interview him or just get a cheesy photo.  If that is denied I will happily photo-shop myself into a photo of someone else with him, even if that other person is a 300 lb. man in a pinstripe suit. Tickets for the event are $250 dollars each.  It will sell out for sure and I would really like to see him speak. This is exciting.  But I won’t dare say that out loud!
