Mondays. Bah! Humbug!

I don’t like to be one of those people who doesn’t like Mondays. But I am and I have to admit it. For me, it’s got to do with the switchover from sort-of normal person on the weekend to early-morning-starting, midday-napping, early-retiring person during the week.

I think this is why I like Grumpy Cat so much. He is the modern day Garfield. Back in his day, Garfield was a darn funny cat because he was drawn that way. I was won over by Grumpy Cat when someone pointed out his resemblance to a humourless Tommy Lee Jones.

At the start of my Monday, I question every decision that has led me to get up to a 3:25 am alarm. At the end of my workday Monday, I silently curse anyone or anything who dares to get in between me and my nap bed. The rest of the day, I’m pretty much okay.

Photo of Grumpy Cat and text that reads: There are two kinds of people in this world, and I don't like them!

  1. On the brighter side. You go to work when its dark and finish work when its light. Many at this time of year don’t get to see the light until the weekend. So when you’re heading home today during the light of day, give it a hug for those who can’t.

    1. That’s a very good point! And I get to go shopping while most people are at work. There are many upsides to my shift. Just not on a Monday!
