Scam Sham

I thought I was a better actor! I tried to scam a scammer and I may have poured it on a little too thick. On a positive note, that means I’d probably fail as a scammer. It’s a good thing I have no plans to try it.

I was hoping to record the “Service Canada” scam. I wanted to string them along to see what would happen. Finally, one day last week, the stars aligned and I hit record in time.

My brother-in-law had been talking about how he much he liked to press one and mess with them. So, that’s what I did. I’d always just hung up on them so it was fascinating to talk to a real-live human being who has zero integrity and lives only to screw good people out of their money. Here’s how it went!

I thought this might result in more calls but they have stopped completely! I used to get several a day, and even after blocking each number, they kept coming. Now? Crickets! Yay!

  1. I can’t believe “Nancy Brown” had a live one (you) on the line and then let you go? What’s the end game? So strange. But an Oscar in your future for sure!

    1. I noticed that each time she said her name there was hesitancy in it. Have you ever said “uh” in the middle of saying your name to anyone (except after changing it for marriage, etc.)? Yeah, me neither!
