It’s True, We’re Going on a Queenager Cruise!

Grateful doesn’t begin to describe how Erin and I feel about going on a river cruise next year with a gaggle of Queenagers. (Kings are also welcome!)

We announced this week on the Gracefully and Frankly podcast that we will be taking a group on an AMA Waterways river cruise in November 2027. We will enjoy seven nights on the Danube, from Nuremberg to Budapest, taking in European history and Christmas markets along the way.

Cruise Baby

Other than a party houseboat on Lake Ontario and on Lake Muskoka, I’ve never been on a cruise. A river cruise is much different than an ocean cruise. Erin has been on several of both and she knows the lay of the … water.

For one thing, the ship is much smaller. This one, the AMASonata, has about 80 staterooms. It’s winter so we’re not fighting over deck chairs. And the city excursions are included so there’s no Sophie’s Choice to be made about where and where not to disembark.

There are different sizes of cabins, balconies, and all sorts of amenities including fine dining included. The amazing team at We Should Go Travel Co. has put it all together and everything you need to know is online here: Queenagers Cruise.

We will start in Nuremburg, and then visit Regensburg, Passau, Melk, Wachau Valley, Vienna, and Budapest. Three countries: Germany, Austria, and Hungary.

On the webpage there’s loads of detail. You can see details about the ship, the itinerary, and send any questions to We Should Go Travel Co. They are Ontario-based and happy to help. There’s a special discount that’s available only until the end of this month (October).

We are super excited about this trip and plan to host a live episode of Gracefully and Frankly onboard. Who’s with us?
