When I say it’s feast or famine as a freelancer, I’m not just pulling a cliche out of my tickle trunk.
I had some times of famine this year as have many of my peers. And now, we feast!
Between teaching, voice-work, podcast responsibilities, an elderly cat, magazine article writing, another potential writing job for the upcoming municipal election, and life in general, well, I find myself stretched tighter than Spanx on a hippo. And it’s not just doing things that takes up time. It’s also thinking about the things that need doing. I have rearranged the order of my college course a half-dozen times after thinking and rethinking how it should be delivered. I need time to think.
Getting to the Point
This is all to say that I’m going to reduce my blogging down to one day per week. Tuesdays will be no more. Now, it will be Friday only.
If you’ve been coming here for a long while, you might remember that I blogged every single day for years. Weekends included. They weren’t all my best work. (Maybe longtime reader Allan can attest to that, although he might be too well-mannered to say so!) Then I cut it down to weekdays, followed by this twice-weekly routine. Quality definitely improved. But it’s still taking up too much room on my crowded plate. This gal needs a place for quinoa and chickpeas!
I don’t have any illusions that this will affect your life in a negative way! I’m super grateful that you come here to absorb my little missives. And I hope you’ll return on Fridays. If you subscribe, you’ll get a notification when I post. It will never cost a cent and your email address won’t be shared with anyone. All you’ll receive is an email with a link to the post that happens automatically without my knowledge or involvement! The WordPress website elves take care of it all.
Have a great week!
