What’s Sexy?

I seem to have started a rather interesting discussion on and off social media with the following tweet: I don’t get the whole Ryan Gosling thing. To my mind, Louis CK  is far sexier. Mull that one for a while, kiddies!

I’m talking about sex symbols here, not the real-life sex appeal of the men in our lives.  That’s a personal matter!

My tweet and the responses proved a few things about me and the women who agreed with me.  Funny is sexy and traditional beauty isn’t for everyone.  One pal has challenged me to watch the movie Crazy Stupid Love and see if I still don’t get the Gosling fascination, so I will do that. But I doubt anything will change.  I’ve never been much for the Clooneys, Brosnans and Craigs.  My Mark Wahlberg fascination is borne out of his talent, especially in comedies.  And I think I’m finally over David Beckham.

I subscribe to the theory, and perhaps it’s an actual fact, that the body’s largest sex organ is the brain. Stimulate the brain and the rest will follow! So you can have Ryan Gosling, his six-pack and his tousled blond hair.  I’ll take the soft-in-the-middle, balding funny guy as my sex-symbol, thank you.
