The song “Happy” by Pharrell doesn’t require an explanation. Its crazy popularity is because it’s infectious and optimistic. Sometimes I play it at my desk at work after the show, with my headphones on, just for a lift. Pharrell is the musical guest on SNL next week and if he doesn’t perform this song people won’t be, you know. But it’s perfect for a Monday.
AND he’s opening for Bruno Mars on tour. A certain daughter of mine is seeing him in Ottawa and just about flipped when she saw the double bill (was only hoping for our buddy Bruno). Good luck not dancing thru that ENTIRE concert!!! WHOO HOO!
